What is Baptism?
Baptism is an outward expression of an inward reality. Baptism is like my wedding ring. My wedding ring doesn’t make me married, it just tells everyone that I am. Baptism, in the same way, doesn’t make you a follower of Christ, it just is your testimony to the congregation and the world that you are. Baptism is a picture of the death, burial, resurrection of Jesus, and symbolizes our own death to our own life and being raised to new life just like Jesus. (Romans 6:4)
